Local President named State Granger of the Year 2004
The first person from Perry County ever to receive the PA State Granger of the Year Award was Doug Bonsall, shown here receiving the 2004 honor at the 132nd annual state convention held in Harrisburg. Doug has been an active member of Perry Valley Grange for 35 years, serving as an officer or committee chair for all of that time and as president for 15 of those years. He has also served in various offices and committee leadership positions with the county, state and national Granges.

Secretary Carol Gantt (left) read Rep. Holden's congratulatory letter. A resolution from the Pennsylvania State Senate, co-sponsored by Senators Jake Corman and Jeff Piccola, has also been received by Bonsall to commemorate the recognition."
