"Grange Activities Provide.........Fun for the Whole Herd" was the theme of this colorful exhibit placed by Perry Valley Grange at the Perry County and Juniata County Fairs this past summer. The message of the exhibit explained the wide variety of the Grange's social, educational and community service activities to thousands of fair goers.

Faced with rising oil prices and a potential energy crisis, American ingenuity is turning to the production of alternative fuels from common farm products like corn, soybeans and sunflowers. Farmers Planting Seeds of Change was the theme of our educational display on this subject at two county fairs this year. A first place blue ribbon was received at the Perry County Fair. Thanks to Nancy Walker and the Gantt family (Carol, Megan and Jonathan) for all their work on this project. (Perry County Fair in Newport, PA)

Every year since 1954 Perry Valley Grange has placed exhibits
at one or more local fairs. Originally, the exhibits were displays
of agricultural and home products. More recently, exhibits have
been educational displays like this one that explained the
"Action Grange" program.
