The theme of both contests for 2007 was "Those Amazing Animals".  Participants were encouraged to describe in their essay or show in a poster how animals trained as service or companion animals for persons with any type of disability help those persons lead independent lives. The first, second, and third place winners in each contest are submitted to the State Grange for judging at the state level.  Perry Valley announced its winners at our March 9th Open House program with the students, their parents and teacher as our guests. Cash awards of $50 - first place, $30 - second place and $20 - third place were given to the winners from each school at local level.
